Gymnastics and new friends

The kids and I all had a blast this past weekend. The girls had a fun time at a local gymnastics studio with other special needs children, learning classic gymnastics routines, flips, jumps, etc. They loved it and wore themselves out while Nathan and I went grocery shopping. Later on Saturday, a local church that has a ministry once a month to provide child care for families with special needs children watched all 3 kids for me and I got to enjoy a book and a mocha at Books-A-Million. It was a nice time for all! All the kids made new friends during their adventures.
We've also really been enjoying our church. The special needs class has really been focused on worshiping God through music, praising through learning how to wave flags, reading the Bible and praying. I'm so thankful for the very intentional focus on witnessing to the children about Jesus and that it is not just child care for the special needs kids. It is a rare find!
The children are all thriving and doing well as we are pretty much settled now. I am looking into horse back riding lessons, music and band lessons also. So thankful to be in a place where there is so much opportunity and support that is affordable even to us. Our church family has truly been family to us also. Looking out for us, praying for us and supporting us in every way. We are truly blessed and I thank God every day because we didn't have it for so long. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to realize it's really real.
