MJ waiting in line for the swings.
To celebrate America's 236th birthday, we went to Ft. Jackson's festival and fireworks. It was all free including all the rides, bounce houses, crafts and activities. The girls enjoyed the bounce houses, and MJ the swing ride. Nathan was too little to do any of those things so he watched. We sat with some friends we met this year and they let me take MJ to ride the swing while they watched the other 2 for me. It was nice to be able to do that. For the presentation, there was a rock concert (it was interesting to see soldiers in fatigues rockin it out with electric guitars and such) a canon was shot after each state and territory was named when they became a part of the union. The National Anthem and other awesome songs were sung and then finally the fireworks. The fireworks are always fantastic at Ft. Jackson and this year was no exception! The kiddos did great for the most part even during the loud parts. We did head to the car during the fireworks because MJ was running off quite a bit, but we still got to see them!
