I've long said that it takes a village to raise a child, and even more so for children with special needs as well as families with special needs. This week our whole family has been people with special needs. I had my right kidney removed and was in the hospital for 5 days this past week and will be recovering for the next 6-8 weeks or so. Hopefully no longer than that. During that time our family, church family and friends have pulled together to care for our family in so many ways:D. My sister and niece have provided childcare for the children this past week and countless friends have come to help me personally, give breaks to my family, come with meals and food, gifts and needed clothes and furniture and offers of help with finishing the repairs on our home. We feel very very very loved and definitely NOT abandoned as the enemy would have us feel. We thank everyone who has been and will be our village during this time and in the future. Please if we can pray specifically for you or do anything please let me know. The kids and I LOVE to pray for y'all, it makes us feel useful:D
I am so excited also because our church Christian Life Assembly in Columbia, SC is celebrating TODAY it's 1st Birthday as a ministry! Hands and Feet Special Needs Ministry got started about 3 weeks after we moved back here to Columbia last year, so we'll always be able to celebrate together this huge milestone. I wish we were able to come today and celebrate but we will be there next year, Lord willing of course.
We are so very humbled. We are healing in the love showered upon us and have every need met. Thank you, Jesus for your body coming together and healing the wounded part.
