Summer 2014

We went to Riverbanks Zoo at the beginning of the summer for Dream Night which is for children with special needs and their families. This was the foam splash pad! We ate, drank and had fun all compliments of the Children's Hospital here in Columbia.
Nathan took gymnastics lessons thanks to summer support funds from the Dept. of Disabilities

 Happy 10th Birthday, MJ!

We had a fun water fight and birthday cookie!

Our main bathroom got a remodel thanks to some friends and our church NewSpring!
This is our new kitty, Kitty Julia! Miriam calls her her birthday kitty because she adopted us the day after her birthday. She was meowing outside my bedroom window so pitifully that we took her in.
 McCalister's Tea Day
I spent the 4th of July at Fort Jackson while the kids were with their dad's extended family.
New life jackets! We went to the lake too but we were too busy having fun to take pics!
MJ took a Broadway dance workshop at a local theater as a birthday present from Grandma Walker and Aunt Carrie! She did beautifully for her first time!

Mother's Day 2014

Happy Mother's Day 2014!  My AWESOME children surprised me with homemade gifts and I picked out store bought gifts. MJ gave me a homemade card and blush so she could inherit my blush, LOL.  Lydia gave me a flower picture and a coffee mug that says "World's Best Mom".  And Nathan gave me a bookmark and smart boy combined flowers and a balloon with a balloon shaped like flowers (he actually came with me to the store and picked out the balloon himself)! We went to church where they graciously took our picture with our own camera phones and had a great service with the founder of the ministry Proverbs 31 Woman, Lysa Turkhurst (sp?). We then went to McD's and dined on chicken nuggets, fries, the kids had cookies and sweet tea. And for dessert at home, coffee, cheesecake and cupcakes! What a wonderful day and I'm such a proud Mama because the kids all work so hard and I get AWESOME reports every day from someone at school, therapy, church and even out and about! I am truly blessed by my children and I feel like finally all of our hard work is paying off!
