We've told the kids that Saint Nicholas aka Santa Claus was a real person who was a generous giver and that people dress up as Santa to remember him. Here is a link to the most historical and probable story behind St. Nick. http://www.christianitytoday.com/ch/news/2004/nick.html  (Veggie Tales also has a DVD on St. Nick that is pretty accurate) The wise men gave Jesus gifts too. God gave us the ultimate gift by sending His Son Jesus to us as a baby boy, who grew up healing many people, died to take on our punishment, and rose again conquering death forever for all those who place their trust and hand over their entire lives to Him.
